Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since our last blog post, but hey...better late than never. Today we want to share with you how we find some of the most epic free campsites. This week we are staying at The Wedge in Emery, UT. This location is nicknamed the little Grand Canyon and I think you can agree by the pictures above.
Two iPhone apps/websites we use the most are Campendium and All Stays. The Campendium app was free, but All Stays cost $9.99.
Campendium’s website states that it provides RV Park Reviews, Free Camping, dump station locations, campsite photos and RV travel blogs. Easily compare campgrounds and share your best camping sites.
In my opinion Campendium is easier to use than the others for one simple fact, is that I can just search for a town and it will show what’s in the area.
The other app that we use that we purchased was All Stays. All Stays website states that it’s your complete guide to campgrounds, RV parks and parking lots for boondocking, hotels, motels, and much much more.
Another way I like to look for campsites is Facebook! If I know the area we’re headed to next, I put the name in the search field and Free Camping, and it connects me with travel blogs and/or peoples posts about the particular area.
The last way to search for campgrounds and Free Camping is Pinterest. This is a great way to see photos of the areas and find new blogs you were not aware of.
Before going and finding your EPIC campsite, remember to do your research and if your not sure of an area...walk it before driving your rig down a road you may not be able to get out of.
Until our next post...HAPPY CAMPING!!
