Everything must go that does not have a purpose

Downsizing, decluttering, simplifying our lives. Whatever you call it, we have done it. We have held 2 garage sales and sold numerous items on Varage Sale, Offer Up, Let Go, 5Miles, Ebay in the last 2 years. I didn't think we had a lot of stuff until we started getting ready for our 2nd garage sale a year after the first one. I guess you can say this is when we got serious about selling everything we own, purchasing a travel trailer and living a more simpler life traveling and figuring out where we want to build our dream little cabin in the woods.

I thought we were minimalist for the most part, we don't have a lot of "stuff" we don't use in our home out that everyone can see. But once we had one garage sale and then another 1 year later, I realized we were not very good minimalists. Before our second garage sale, we tried to sell all high dollar items, like furniture, jewelry, exercise equipment, etc. on-line. I am proud to say. We didn't give up, almost everything we have wanted to sell on-line has and we had a very successful garage sale, netting $1500.00. It's a daunting experience, especially when you don't know who's answering your ad, if they really are interested, if they are going to meet you and if they do meet you they are not a serial killer.
